Sam Azzarello, 94, of Janesville and formerly of Clinton and Hayward, died Tuesday, April 16 in the Willowfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Delavan.

Sam was born March 21, 1908, in LaGrange, Ill., the son of Anthony and Francis Azzarello. He married Ethna Mildred Harrison on September 28, 1933. She died November 12, 1989.

He was a farmer and a cattle trucker in Clinton for many years. He moved to Hayward where he was the Old Style beer distributor until his retirement in 1969.

He is survived by two sons, Robert of Hayward, and Leonard (Patricia) of Presque Isle, Maine; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a brother, Anthony, of Brookfield, Ill. He was preceded in death by this wife, Mildred, and a son, Karl.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 19 in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hayward, with Fr. William Green officiating. Arrangements were made by the Schoenfeld Funeral Home, Beloit.
