Martha J. Smith, 91, a resident of Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, formerly of Eldorado, Altoona, died Wednesday at the home.

She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Milton and Margaret J. (Eberhart) Miller. On July 8, 1953, she married Jack Richard Smith, and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1989.

Surviving are two sons: Barry L. (Barb) and Gary L. (Theresa), all of Hollidaysburg; three grandchildren: Shane and Barry Smith Jr. and Jackie Treon (Dalton); a brother, Donald Miller in Delaware; and a sister, Thelma McConnell of Altoona.

She was preceded in death by three sisters: Marie Bender, Grace Cunningham and Deloris McConnell; and six brothers: Milton Jr., Gerald, Harry, Richard, Robert and Glenn Miller.

Martha was a 1947 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She previously worked at Butterick and Saf-T-Bak.

Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Duncansville, Pastor Rich Morris officiating. Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery. brownfuneralandcremation.com
