John McMahon of 298 Barbour St., husband of Mrs. Mary Mitchell McMahon. died Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry A. LaBate of 48 Whiting Rd.. East Hartford, after a long illness. He was born in Glashabed-Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland, Sept. 22, 1867. son of the late Timothy and Johanna Sullivan McMahon, and had lived in Hartford 62 years. Besides his wife and daughter he leaves another daughter, Mrs. Harry A. Cheffetz of Hartford; three sons. Francis T. McMahon, John J. McMahon, Marshall W. McMahon, all of Hartford, a sister, Mrs. Edward Walsh of Wethersfield; two been grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Burial . be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery
