Funeral services for Hilding Anderson were held in the Mission Covenant church in Evansville Saturday afternoon, with the Rev. L. M. Udden officiating. The honorary pallbearers were Edman Wahlin, Arthur Olson, Ferdinand Olson, Carl Anderson, David E. Anderson, and Joseph Anderson. The active pallbearers were Robert Zarn, Vern Alstead, John Anderson, Robert Alstead, James Anderson and Wallace Olson.
Hilding Anderson was born on a farm near Evansville, May 25, 1901, and all of his life has lived in this community with the exception of three years on a farm at Alvarado, Minn. He continued in farm work as long as health permitted and then retired to Evansville.
He died at the Lady of Mercy hospital at Alexandria, Aug. 3, after a long illness, having been a patient at the Granlund invalid home for about a year and a half. Surviving him are his wife, two sons, Niel and Gerald, of Evansville; two daughters, Shirley of Chicago and Katherine (Mrs. Kenneth Erickson) of Evansville; three sisters, Mrs. Victor Carlson (Olga) and Mrs. Alma Anderson of Minneapolis and Mrs. Duffy Swenson (Lydia) of Evansville; also one brother, Walter, also of Evansville. His parents and two sisters, Beda and Ogda, have preceded him in death.
