FLU FATAL TO ALOIS GAPINSKI AT RACINE SUNDAY

Alois Gapinski, aged 29 years, more familiarly known to his many friends here as “Lefty” Gapinski, died Sunday afternoon at Racine, from flu-pneumonia, which attacked him weeks ago. The remains arrived here this afternoon and funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 8:30 from the St. Mary’s Catholic church with interment at the Catholic cemetery.

The deceased, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gapinski, 1022 South Twenty-third street, was born in this city on June 5, 1900 and was
educated in the local schools. Seven years ago he went to Chicago to be employed and for the past four years has been employed in a foundry plant at Racine.

Besides the parents, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Peter Benes and Lucile of this city and three brothers, Frank at Chicago and Paul and Alex of this city. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
