FUNERAL SERVICE HELD FOR FRANK SHAW
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. for Frank Shaw in the Holden Ward Chapel. Bishop Mark L. Bennett, presiding. A quartette consisting of Mark L. Bennett, Thaddeus O. Johnson, George H. and Marion Johnson furnished two selections, Mrs. Marion Johnson being the accompanist.
Mrs. Dean Davies and company with Mrs. Frank Swallow accompanist, sang two numbers. Mrs. Thadeus Johnson and Mrs. Robert Gustaveson played the funeral march. Edgar Turner offered the invocation and the benediction was by Wm. R. Johnson.
The speakers were James A. Kelly of Fillmore, Jos. E. Wood of Salt Lake City, James A. Stephenson and Bishop Bennett. All the speakers eulogized the life of the deceased.
The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Interment was in the Holden cemetery. The Olpin Mortuary was in charge.
The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ellen Shaw, and nine children as follows: Mrs. Glenna Brunson and Mrs. Ruby Brunson of Fillmore; LaMar, Salt Lake; Mrs. Margret Perrie, Santa Ana, Calif., Merwin, George, Arlo, Bert and Dennis. Also a sister, Mrs. Agnes Hutchings, Salt Lake City, three brothers, James F. Shaw, Sterling, Idaho; John R. Shaw, Richfield and Thomas Shaw of Elsinore. They were all in attendance at the funeral . There were many other relatives and friends from out of town whose names the writer did not learn.
