Cecil C. Beaver, 85, of Jane, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Bates Medical Center, Bentonville, Ark.

He was born July 6, 1914, at Cyclone, Mo., to John Calvin Beaver and Misha Luella Forbes Beaver.

He was a lifelong resident of the area and a farmer until his retirement in 1974. He was an accomplished musician and enjoyed singing and playing the guitar at area functions for many years.

He married Meda Faye McCool on Feb. 14, 1939 at Cyclone, Mo. She survives him. Also surviving is one son, F. LaVern Beaver and wife Mary of Neosho, Mo.; one daughter, Darlene Greene and husband Richard of Pineville, Mo.; two brothers, Omer Beaver of Washington state; Paul Beaver of Goodman, Mo.; one sister, Velma Lindquest of Joplin, MO.; one grandson, Barry V. Greene and wife Ronda of Bella Vista, Ark.; two great-grandchildren, Austin Greene and Cecily Greene, both of Bella Vista.

The funeral was held Saturday, Jan. 8 at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge. The Rev. Frank Arnall of Bethpage, Mo., officiated.

Burial was at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.
