Frances Harrison Tuttle, 95, of 2522 Reid School Rd. Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Thursday October 10, 2013 at the Carolina House of Reidsville.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday October 14, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial will be in Reidlawn Cemetery.
A native of Greeneville, TN, she was a daughter of the late Francis M. and Lillie Farnsworth Harrison and had lived in North Carolina since 1939. A graduate of Berea College in Berea, KY, she was a retired teacher with 36 years of service, having taught at Bethany School, Wentworth School and Reidsville Junior High School. After retiring from teaching she worked for a few years as a realtor with Clifton Realty Company, and was a former member of The Reidsville A.B. W. A. , the N.E. A. and the N.C. A.E.. Mrs. Tuttle was preceded in death by an infant son: Victor Harrison Tuttle, sisters: Ruth Jones, Mary Lee Bowman, Claudia Webb, brothers: Wilbur Harrison and an infant brother.
Surviving: her husband of 67 years: G. Warren Tuttle of the home, daughter: Sylvia Tuttle Brookshire (Donald) of Mt. Airy, NC, granddaughter: Stacie Marie Brookshire (Matt Taylor) of Winston-Salem, NC, great granddaughter: Rylan Emery Taylor, sisters-in-law: Louise T. Stadler of Reidsville, NC and Pat Tuttle of Reidsville, NC, special friends: Miriam Aikens and husband Norris of Reidsville, NC and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff and management of Carolina House of Reidsville for their care and concern during Mrs. Tuttle's illness.
