Obe Rich, 74, of rural West Frankfort, died at 1:25 a. m. Monday at the Skilled Care Nursing Home, Benton, after a long illness. Mr. Rich was born in West Frankfort June 18, 1893, the son of William and Dellie Price Rich. He was a veteran of World War I.
He leaves daughters, Mrs. Mary Riley, Mrs. Shirley Hammond and Mrs. Gladys Puckett, all of Elgin and Mrs. June Rogers and Mrs. Bonnie Clark, both of West Frankfort; sons, Earl Dean Rich of Elgin, William "Len" Rich of Benton and Obie, Burr ell and Jerry Joe Rich, all of West Frankfort; a step-son, Jim Goad of W e s t Frankfort; 41 grandchildren; and a brother, Lawrence Rich of Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral services at the Stone Funeral Home, West Frankfort. The Rev. Elmer Grissom officiating. Burial in Crawford Cemetery near Logan. Military graveside rites will be held.
