EVENING PRESS

Binghamton, Broome Co., NY—Thursday, 10 June 1965

 

           Chester B. Alford, 67, Knapp Hill Road, Chenango Forks, died Tuesday [June 8] at his home.

           He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Alford, Sidney three sons, Harvey Alford, Sidney, Harold Alford, Harpursville and Charles Alford, Morristown; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Mildred) Reynolds, Coventryville and Mrs. Platte (Nina) Hubbel, Tioga Center; four brothers, Lewis Alford, Binghamton, Fred Alford, Oneonta, Robert Alford, Coventryville and Leon Alford, Bainbridge; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

           Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 a.m. at St. Luke's Church, Harpursville. The Rev. Frederick W. Dorst, rector of Christ Episcopal Church, will officiate.

           Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Harpursville. Arrangements are by the Osterhoudt Funeral Home, Harpursville….

           Those who desire may make contributions to the Broome County Heart Association or the Broome County Polio Foundation.
