Per her Death Certificate, Melissa died in 1912. Have not located her burial information.
About two years before he died, he moved to Sioux City to be near his daughter Mrs. A.J. Hoisington (Frances Adella). He died on September 27, 1926, in Sioux City, Iowa, at the age of 97, and was buried at Floyd Cemetery. (Note: Name on grave shows Henry Forland.)
