The father and the national hero of Corsica. A fighter for the independence of the island Corsica. He spent 47 years in exile where he also died. His body was relocated in the year 1889 from London to the chapel in the small village where he was born - Morosaglia on the Mediterranean island Corsica (which now belongs to France).
