She was born in 1851 at Shelbyville, Ky.
Mrs. Cass was the widow of Noah Cass of the Riverton vicinity. [Note: I am not sure this is accurate.]
She is survived by daughter, Marietta Cass, of Chicago; son, William Cass, of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. A.S. Capps, and Mrs. C.A. Hunt, of Lincoln, Neb.
Another sister, Mrs. Alice A. Jess of Springfield, preceded her in death.
Remains arrived in Springfield over the Alton railroad and were taken to Thomas C. Smith Sons funeral home where funeral services were held in the chapel.
Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.
