Married on: 18 Oct 1851 in Clinton, Hinds county, Mississippi
They were 7 children born of their marriage.
We know she died 25 Jan 1909 at her daughter's home Rufus Beal and daughter Mary Emmaline "Emma" West-Hudgins-Beal in Houston, Harris County, Texas and is buried in Hollywood Cemetery in the FURMAN Plot.
UPDATE!! AUGUST 29, 2016!!! We found two Houston Post newspaper announcements which show she was buried in Hollywood Cemetery. So am attaching it to this memorial and will place this memorial now in the proper cemetery! Thank goodness for the continuous digitizing of old newspapers!
Virena's father and some of her children are buried in Blanco Cemetery and that is where she resided for many many years (from ca 1882 until death in 1909).
Her mother and husband are buried in Snake Creek Cemetery in Ft Bend County, Texas. But after her husband died, she moved her family (ca 1882)to Blanco. There are no more recorded deaths for Gill, Cherry, and West in Snake Creek Cemetery after Virena migrated to Blanco.
