Sandy was born on July 28, 1947 in Mojave Desert, CA to parents Charlotte (Long) Stites and Gabe Milton Stites and entered into eternal rest on October 13, 2013 at the age of 66. Sandy loved her family and enjoyed doing for others. She enjoyed plants and working in the yard. Sandy loved working crosswords and sewing clothes for others. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mabank. Sandy was a lovely lady who will be missed by all that knew her.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Bennie Hill and Johnny Stites, sisters; June Elizabeth Warf and Amelia Louise Stite.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa Leathers and husband Walter of Washington State, son Jeffery Allen Rash and wife Tracy of Lampassas, granddaughters; Jamie Bennington, Holly Bennington, Madison Sullivan, Sierra Rash, grandson; Nicholas Sullivan, Jeffery Rash, three great- grandchildren, brothers; Mark Stites and wife Martha of Florida, Roger Stites and wife Jackie of New Jersey, sisters; Lynn Warf of Dallas, Virginia Martin of Ozark, MO and special friend Herb Smart.
