Helen Marie, known as Marie by family and friends, was born May 19, 1904 in Appling County, Georgia. She married Anthony Hutcheson Sr., born December 25, 1904 in Soperton, Georgia, who was the son of Steven Mills Hutcheson and Martha Beasley. Marie and Anthony had seven children together: Anthony Jr, Herman, Rebecca Elevenia, Herbert Eugene, Franklin Delano, Mattie and Mary Ellen. When Marie and Anthony passed away they were living at Rt 4 in Appling County. Marie on March 20, 1980 in Appling General Hospital and Anthony on August 14, 1977 also in Appling General Hospital, both were buried at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church located on Hwy 15 in Appling County.
