Mr. Van den Bosch died May 10, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Jackson, TN, the son of the late John and Bernice Malone Van den Bosch, Sr., and was educated in the local schools, Southwestern in Memphis, and received his Law Degree from Old Miss. Mr. Van den Bosch was an attorney in Jackson for over 50 years. He was an avid sportsman. John was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church, where he had served as Deacon and had taught Sunday School.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yelena Lane Van den Bosch.
He leaves a daughter, Amy Elkins of Pine Bluff, AR; twin sons, Pete Van den Bosch and wife Kelly, and Paul Van den Bosch and wife Lisa; son, John Van den Bosch III, all of Jackson; mother of his children, Elizabeth Van den Bosch of Jackson; a brother, William Van den Bosch and wife Charlotte of Jackson; grandchildren, Taylor Van den Bosch, Noah Alexander Van den Bosch, Jenny Billingsley and Evan Burris; great-grandchildren, Brantley and Ashlyn.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to: Youthtown of Tennessee, 3641 Youth Town Road, Pinson, TN 38366.
