Carl Hoppe, 72, died Monday morning at a Spokane, Washington hospital white visiting in that city with his son, Walter. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
Mr. Hoppe was born at Eisdorf, Germany. He was married on Dec. 31, 1917 at Havre to Elizabeth Grabofsky who survives him. He Operated the Hoppe coal mine from 1927-1943 and followed that worked for various Havre contractors. He retired in 1959.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, William of Martin City, Frank and Robert of Havre and Walter of Spokane, and one daughter Mrs. Phillip (Helen) Murphy of Manzanita, Ore.
