-- Edna B. Rowley Burkley, 95, of Connellsville, formerly of Blairsville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999 at the home of her daughter, Dorothy E. Miller in Connellsville. A daughter of Joseph and Eva (Trimble) Rowley, she was born Aug. 16, 1904 in Glen Campbell.

She was a member of the SS. Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville; the Over 55 Club of her church; and the Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Theresa No. 562, where she had received her 65-year pin. She also belonged to the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees and had served on the union board of Torrance State Hospital; and she was a charter member of AARR.

Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Joseph (Edna Mae) Baker, Millsboro, Del., and Mrs. Dorothy E. Miller, Connellsville; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was the last surviving of 13 children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Burkley in 1973; two sons: Kenneth J. Burkley and Donald E. Burkley; two grandsons, Bradley A. Miller and Daniel Baker; a great-grandson, Mark Baker and 12 brothers and sisters.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated in the SS. Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church in Blairsville with the Father Chester J. Raimer as celebrant. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
