Edna Mae Baker, 77, of Long Neck, Del., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, Del.
She was born in Blairsville, the daughter of Edward Burkley and Edna Rowley Burkley.

She was a member of the Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church in Oak Orchard, Del.; the church's Peaceful Dove Prayer Group.

She also sang with the church's folk group.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Joseph G. Baker; three sons: Joseph E.; Thomas R., both of Wilmington, Del.; John S., Pasadena, Calif.;

Also two daughters: Karen Lathbury, Middletown, Del.; Suzanne Custin, Elsmere, Del.; a sister, Dorothy Miller, Connellsville; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel K. Baker, in 1994; and grandson, Mark Baker, in 1996.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered today at 11 a.m. at the Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, Oak Orchard, Del.

Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery North, Bear, Del.

Melson Funeral Services, Long Neck, Del. is in charge of the arrangements.
