Catherine Huennekens, 85, of 5230 11th Ave. C, Moline, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 1996, at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, where she was a member. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.
Visitation is 4 to 7 Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, with a rosary to be recited at 6:30. Memorials may be made to Father Cleary Endowment Fund.
The former Catherine Schaefer was born Nov. 24, 1910, in Menomimee, Neb., the daughter of William and Rose Haas Schaefer. She married Joseph Huennekens Feb. 10, 1931. He died in 1971.
She had been employed as a clerk at the former New York and Grant Stores, Moline.
She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Pete Feldhacker.
She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery.
Survivors include a son, James Huennekens, Polk City, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Leona Babricek, Agnes Litz and Elsie Haberer; and brothers, Clarence Feldhacker and Len Feldhacker.
