Salamanca N.Y. – Eunice M. Linsler, 81, of Salamanca, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Absolut of Salamanca after an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 17, 1931, in West Valley, N.Y., the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy (Goodemote) Feldman.

Mrs. Linsler was employed by Catt. Co. Social Services for many years, until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of Holy Name of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Ellicottville, N.Y., and its Altar and Rosary Society, Holy Cross Club and Ellicottville American Legion Post No. 659. She was past president of the Salamanca Lions Club, a 1950 graduate of West Valley Central School and had attended St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in West Valley, N.Y.

Mrs. Linsler is survived by a son James P. Linsler Jr. of Ellicottville, N.Y.; six daughters, Donna M. Stratford of Gaffney, Doris A. Linsler of Cheektowaga, N.Y., Denise M. (Rod) Mitchell of Ellicottville, N.Y., Mary Kay (Mickey) Kelly of Morningview, Ky., Connie F. Valentine of Nashville, Tenn., and Jeanette R. (Stephen) Woodruff of Morrisonville, N.Y.; seven grandchildren Matthew J. and Dustin D. Linsler, William J. (Rebecca) Stratford, Michael J. Stratford, Erik R., Rachael S. and Andrew C. Woodruff; and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Donald, Gerald (Gertie), Louis and Clifford (Valerie) Feldman; a sister, Eleanor Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Ellsworth and Raymond Feldman, and two sisters, Doris DiGati and Marilyn Schaffner.

Visitation was held Thursday, Oct. 17, from 4-8 p.m. at O'Rourke Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St., Little Valley, N.Y.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at Holy Name of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Ellicottville, N.Y. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in honor of her daughter, Donna M. Stratford, or her niece, Christine Anspach.
