From the book, The Fighting Men of Oklahoma: SSGT Bahm was inducted into the service at Ft. Sill OK on Sept 16, 1940. He received his basic training and Full Track Vehicle Course at Ft. Sill and Motor Mechanics at St. Louis. SGT Bahm served 14 months in the ETO taking part in the Normandy, N. France, Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns. He received his discharge on Oct. 31, 1945 and was awarded 4 Battle Stars, the American Defense Medal, Victory Medal and the Good Conduct medal.
