Carl Bahm, 88, died March 8, 2011. He was born May 25, 1922, in Cherokee, Oklahoma, the son of John Edward and Marie Katherine (Houser) Bahm. He was a proud Air Corps veteran and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the US Army Reserves. He worked as an electrical technician at OG&E for more than 30 years before retirement.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, and many brothers and sisters.

He leaves his daughters Diane Gerred, Cindy Bockus (Gordon), Sue Wood (Bill), Kathleen Martin (Bill); sons Steve (Lovella), Terry (Cindi), Mark (Angela), and Marty (Pamela); sister, Elizabeth Terry of Kiowa KS; brother, Bob Bahm of Ponca City; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

A wake will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 11, at 10 a.m. at Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3214 N. Lake, OKC, with interment in Resurrection Cemetery.

SGT Carl J. Bahm was born May 25, 1925 (1922) at Cherokee and attended Cherokee High School. He was inducted into the service on Sept. 16, 1940, at Ft. Sill OK, receiving his training at Ft. Sill and Chickasha OK and taking the Link Trainer Course in Waco TX. He served in the American Theater and received his discharge on Oct. 28, 1945. He was awarded the American Theater Medal, Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
