CURTIS ALGREN died October 22, 2013 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 86. He was born on April 29, 1927 in Clay County, Kansas the son of Oscar and Emma (Fahlstrom) Algren.

Curtis was raised in Clay Center and graduated from CCCHS in 1945. He married Betty Chestnut on May 6, 1951. Curtis farmed in Clay County his entire life. Betty preceded him in death on January 1, 2007. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lions Club, Swedesburg School Board, Swedish Pleasant Hill Cemetery Board, Farmers CO-OP Elevator Association Board of Directors and the 21st Judicial District nominating commission.

Survivors include:

Sister: Lois Close, Clay Center, KS

Companion: Geri Conrad, Clay Center, KS

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, Kansas .

Officiating the service will be Drew Reding.

Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.

Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Friday at the funeral home

Memorials can be made to First Presbyterian Church c/o the funeral home.
