MELICENT QUINN WALL, 89, passed away September 18, 2005 at her home in Houston, TX. Born in Henderson, KY on August 4, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Melicent Quinn and widow of Dr. John A. Wall. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Wall Sledz and husband, Mark; son, John A. Wall, III; grandchildren, Stephen P. Bender and wife, Shannon, John Wall Bender and wife, Ellen; John A. Wall, IV, Prosser Martin Wall; great-granddaughers, Abby Bender, Mary Carol "Molly" Bender, Katie Bender, Brylyn Wall; cousin, Emily Louise Bennett. Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 30, 2005, Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Private family graveside services will be Saturday morning at Memorial Oaks Cemetery with a public Memorial Service at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 2450 River Oaks Blvd., The Rev. Nancy DeForest officiating. Family suggests donations to Macular Degeneration Fund, c/o Anita Austin, 6565 Fannin, NC205, Houston, TX 77030.
