Joseph Franklin Anderson, age 84, of Mableton, died April 11, 2007.

Mr. Anderson was a U. S. Navy Seabee serving in the South Pacific during WWII.

He opened Anderson Brake and Alignment in Dekalb County later moving to Austell Road where he retired in the late 1980s. He was a member of Milford Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Smith Anderson; daughter, Sandra Louise Stewman and husband, Paul of Charlotte, NC; son, David M. Anderson of Douglasville; sister, Gloria Varner and husband, Lee of Buford; grandson, Todd Stewman and wife, Amy and their daughters, Lauren, Jessica and Sophie of Austin, TX; granddaughter, Shana Ashworth and husband, John of Charlotte, NC.

Funeral services will be 11, Friday at Gene Davis-White Columns Chapel in Mableton with Rev. Clarence Howard, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 Today at the funeral home.
