Joshua McQueen, an old and esteemed citizen of this county, died last night at 10 o'clock, at his residence in the Hawpatch. For a long time he has been afflicted with a cancer, which finally proved fatal. He was in his 90th year at the time of his death The interment of the body will take place tomorrow at Liberty at 11 o'clock in the forenoon.
Mr. McQueen was respected by everybody and his death will carry sadness to many hearts. During his lifetime, he has held some of the most important offices of trust and profit of this county, and in the memory of many, he has held the office of commissioner. His friends have met a deep loss in his death, and we extend to them our warmest sympathy, in this, their dark hour of bereavement.
