Funeral services for Kenneth Olson were held on Tuesday, March 28, 1961 at 2 p.m. from the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran church. Rev. O. A. Olson of Alexandria officiated. Interment was in the Finnish Apostolic cemetery in Moe township. The pallbearers were: Oscar Froemming, Alex Haabala, Walter Haabala, Theodore Haabala, Wm. Lehto and Oscar Kvisto.

Kenneth Olson was born in Douglas county, Moe township, on July 29, 1907, the son of John and Minnie Olson. He was baptized and confirmed at the Apostolic Lutheran church in Moe township and attended the grade school at District No. 5. He grew to manhood in this community and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the 11th Air Force in the Aleutian Islands. For the past nine years he had been employed with the Columbia Steamship Lines.

Mr Olson passed away at Brandon on March 24, 1961 at the age of 53 years, 7 months and 27 days. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Minnie Olson of Brandon, and nine sisters and brothers: Ruth (Mrs John Esala) of Moe township; Edna (Mrs. Cleve Sacarias) of Deer Creek; LaVina (Mrs. Joe Graf) of San Jose, Calif.; Marie (Mrs. Paul Sakai) of Frankfurt, Germany; Freeman of Brandon; Ellen (Mrs. Wm. LaBelle) of Minneapolis; Emlie (Mrs D. W. Swigart) of Denver, Colo.; Mervin of New Brighton and Sara Ann (Mrs. Odin Mithun) of Hoffman. He was preceded in death by his father in 1949 and three sisters and brothers.
