CLINTON - Thomas F. Flannagan, 91, a lifelong resident of Clinton, died peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2013 surrounded by his family at UMass Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Marilyn (Stirewalt) Flannagan; children, Linda D'Onofrio of Lancaster; Karen Kilcoyne of Clinton; Trisha McNally of Leominster; and Thomas Flannagan of Sterling. He leaves his brother, John C. Flannagan of Clinton; grandchildren, Jenna & Noah D'Onofrio, Lauren & Kelsey Kilcoyne, Kayla & Julie McNally, Jared & Brenton Andrews, James, Timothy, and Kaitlin Flannagan; close family friend Eva Sully; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was pre-deceased by his daughter Nancy Andrews and mother Libby (Kittila) Flannagan.

Tom was born in Clinton in 1921, graduated from Clinton High School Class of 1939 and proudly served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII stationed in the Pacific Theater. Following his return from service, Tom worked at Wovencraft for many years and became the Assistant Superintendent before later joining Pyrotherm, a division of Nypro, where he was employed as Traffic Manager until his retirement. Tom was a founding member of the Winter Street Supers, a softball team and social club formed in 1935, whose members continued to play cards each week throughout their lives. Tom's warm, caring personality will be greatly missed. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his cherished family. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 10AM in Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. Burial will follow in Reservoir Pines Cemetery, Clinton. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 4 until 7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nancy J.
