Kathleen Drain Burnett, 72, of Elkins, Arkansas, died November 5, 2013 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
She was born April 11, 1941 at Durham, Arkansas, the daughter of William Dureff and Pearl Brannon Drain.
She had retired from the Washington County Public Health Center and was a loving wife and mother. An avid reader, she loved to cook for her family and friends and enjoyed sewing and made quite a few sets of clothes for herself and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Wendall Burnett on July 16, 2013.
Survivors include: her husband of fifty-four years, Norris Burnett of the home; one son, Wesley Burnett of Ozark, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law, Lori Burnett of Clifty, Arkansas; one sister and brother-in-law, Lorene and Ed Sloan of Elkins, Arkansas and one grandson, Matthew Burnett of Ozark, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A. M. Friday, November 8, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverend Larry Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in the Patrick Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. to 7:00 P. M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
