Barbara A Siferd, 67, of St Paris died at 10:30 AM Monday, June 7, 2010 in her residence. She was born October 28, 1942 in Dayton, OH a daughter of Dr Charles and Helen Marie (Fitzsimmons) Balmer.
She was a member of St Mary Church, attended Urbana High School and Wittenberg University where she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Business Administration and retired as Marketing Manager from Honeywell Grimes Division. Barbara also loved horses.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Joseph Siferd whom she married on October 4, 1958, sons, Chris Siferd of St Paris, Jeff Siferd and his wife Deb of Birmingham, AL, Terry Siferd of FL, and Rodney Siferd of Virginia Beach, VA, grandchildren, Derek Siferd, Megan Siferd, Casey Siferd and Sonny Siferd, sisters, Dorothy Grogan of Indian Lake, and Debra Woods and her husband Bruce of Urbana, brother, Charles Balmer and his wife Juliette of Urbana, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Cynthia Lynn.
The family will receive friends 1:00 - 3:00 PM Saturday, June 12, 2010 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S Main Street, Urbana. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, June 14, 2010 in St. Mary Catholic Church, 231 Washington Avenue, Urbana with Father Greg Konerman, celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
