SLC, UT-Robert Fagley passed away November 3, 2013 at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born June 25, 1921 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Robert Simpson and Nellie Kiester Fagley. Married Doris Mae Uber in Butler, PA June 1948. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, then served in the Army during WWII. The last 25 years of his working life were spent at Hercules before retiring in 1986. Always interested in photography and natural arches, he intended to write a book but instead developed the website Bob's Arches. Focusing on pictures and directions to the arches, it has been enjoyed by people from all over the world. He enjoyed meeting fellow arch enthusiasts at the NABS conventions. He belonged to Christ United Methodist Church and was a member of the Chancel Choir for 52 years. Survived by his loving wife Doris, daughters Rebecca Fagley Nordeen of North Richland Hills, TX and Nancy Fagley and her husband Paul Miller of Somerset, NJ.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2 pm at Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 East 3300 South. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Utah Food Bank. On line memories and tributes can be given to the family at www.holbookmortuary.com
