Claude Jenkins, 79, of 12406 Corsbad, Houston, died on December 25, 1970 after a brief stay in Westbury Hospital in Houston. He was born in Ozark, Arkansas, on August 21, 1891. His church membership was with the First Baptist Church of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Mr. Jenkins was survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Moynette Jenkins of Houston; one son, Paul D. Jenkins of Little Rock, Arkansas; and one grandson, Paul Nathan Jenkins.
Funeral services were Monday, December 28, 1970, in the Garmany & Company Chapel in Richmond at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Slater officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Danny Murders, Linn Kennedy, Ruben Stringer, Dale Welborn, Ted Johnson, and Jay Bennett. Honorary pallbearers were Paul Nathan Jenkins, Mike Gilbert, H.S. Murders, and Charlie Hutchison.
