1899, 6 Sep - marriage of Ada E Ebbets & William S. Rankin, age 38 of Manh, married in Brooklyn (Certificate #4854), at the home of Mrs. George Bissell on Johnson Ave. in Richmond Hill by Rev. Canon Bryan of Garden City. (Bklyn Daily Eagle 13 Sep 1899). The marriage lasted less than three years as William died at age 41 on 21 Oct 1902 and is buried in Woodlawn. Ada used Ebbets as her last name for the rest of her life.

1940 – 1st St. & 3rd Ave. NE St. Petersburg, FL, Masonic Home & Orphanage, widow, 74, left 5500 shares in the Brooklyn Baseball Club, valued at $833,486, from her brother. 1942 – death in St. Petersburg, Pinellas, Florida, buried Royal Palm South Cemetery, obituary 25 Aug 1942 (Brooklyn Daily Eagle), formerly lived in Brooklyn Heights, member of the Order of the Easter Star for many years and was the last of her immediate family.
