Eldest daughter Charlotte Ebbets Bissell (1850-1911) was president of the 20th Century Club in Richmond Hill and her speech at the opening of the Carnegie Library in Richmond Hill in 1905 is documented in the Richmond Hill Record on 8 Jul 1905.
Son Charles Hercules Ebbets, (1859-1925) an architect, was the owner and president of the Brooklyn Dodgers Baseball club and built Ebbets Field in Brooklyn.
