Eighteen Months old.
Father:Sam Houston Ward(b.Sept. 2,1886 in Sulpher Springs, TX)(d.Sept.5,1968 in Arlington, TX)

To my great aunt Mamie. My grandfather Melvin M.Ward(#18978221)was your brother. He talked about you, you were never forgotten. He was 3 yrs. old when you passed away,he remembered going to the cemetery with his family in a wagon. It was very hot that day and your mother fainted away. They took her to a near by farmhouse(still there in 2012)and gave her cool water. It always bothered him that you did not have a headstone. Many, many years later, (approx.1980's)he,my sister, mother, grandmother, and I took a trip to North Brown Cemetery to find your burial spot. He was too old to drive so had my brother take him to the cemetery to place a marker on your grave. He was so happy to have been able to do that for you.
