RESIDENT OF FIFTY YEARS IS DEAD
On Saturday evening, Mrs. Mandeville, wife of Lieutenant John H. Mandeville, died at her home, 430 Peterson street, following an illness of many weeks. For 50 years Mrs. Mandeville had been a resident of this city, and was well known by hundreds people. In late years she was known as "Grandma Mandeville"
It was in 1867 that Mrs. Mandeville came here, accompanying her husband, who had been in the local post. He was discharged the year before and went to his old home in New York and then returned here with his wife. They lived in this vicinity from that time on.
Heart trouble was the cause of death.
The surviving relatives of Mrs. Mandeville, who was in her 80th year, are the husband, a daughter, Mrs. E. J. Gregory, and a son, Dwight Mandeville of Weld county.
The funeral will take place at the Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. McCutcheon of Laporte in charge. Burial will be made at Grandview cemetery.
