Mrs. Lydia A. Yellets, 64, of 210 N. Shippen St., died at Lancaster General Hospital at 1:45 p.m. Sunday after a brief illness. She was the widow of William F. Yellets. She was born in Lancaster County the daughter of the late Aldus and Emma Chambers Peters. She is survived by the following sons: Charles W., James E., William F., Jr., and Harry, all of Lancaster; and George T., New York. Also surviving are the following daughters: Evelyn, wife of Paul Hunt; Emma, wife of Charles Stone; Ruth, wife of Richard Kauffman; Ethel, wife of Edward Rineer; Katherine, wife of Clarence Lefever; Doris, Shirley and Dorothy Yellets, all of Lancaster. Other daughters include Charlotte, wife of Lester Stoltzfus, New York; and Joanne, wife of Larry Newcomer, Nashville, Tenn. Also surviving are 48 grandchildren, and two sisters: Fannie, wife of Harry Westfall, Strasburg; Mary, wife of Walter Westfall, Lancaster. Surviving are four brothers: Charles Peters, New Jersey; Walter Peters, Hessdale; Aldus Peters, Quarryville; and half brother Edward Geiter, East Petersburg. (Intelligencer Journal - Sept 10, 1973)
