Second wife of Harry Frary, daughter of Jarvis and Betsy Hurd. Her first husband was Ralph G. Peck.

Rebecca Hurd was born in Ellisburg, Jefferson Co., January 14, 1824. She was daughter of Jarvis and Betsey Hurd. She was twice married, her first husband was a Peck and her second a Frary. Mrs. Frary passed peacefully away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. Eugene Filkins, Rome Road, May 18.

She is survived by three children, Mrs. H. E. Filkins, Allen D. Peck of this village and Ira D. Peck of Brooklyn; four grandchildren, Mrs. W. D. Kelly, of Fitchburg, Mass.; Mrs. John T. Blanden, of Brooklyn; Allen E. Filkins of Hartford, Conn.; Mrs. C. Kent Robinson, Pulaski also three great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Filkins, Thursday afternoon at 1:30, Rev. E. A. Rogers to officiate.

Lehigh District – Again death has entered our midst and taken the oldest one from among us. Mrs. Rebecca Frary or "Aunt Becky" as she was called by so many passed away May 18. She was 91 years old and had been confined to her bed for some time although not seeming to suffer much pain, but passed away suddenly and quietly as she had wished. She was loved by all on account of her quiet ways. Her funeral was attended by many of her old friends.
