FUNERAL OF JOSEPH MROTEK HELD MONDAY

Joseph Mrotek, who died Friday at the family home at 1301 South Nineteenth street, was laid to final resting place yesterday morning, the Rev. Father Kutiszewski conducting services at St. Mary's church. Burial was made in St. Mary's cemetery.

Of Polish extraction, Mr. Mrotek came to this country 50 years ago, settling in Manitowoc and since residing here. Mr. Mrotek was 72 years old at the time of death, being born in Poland, July 16, 1855. With his wife, who was Sophie Jagodinski before her marriage, he celebrated their fortieth anniversary in January.

Surviving are Mrs. Mrotek and five daughters, Mrs. Marie Batanske of Chicago, Mrs. Wencel Nowacke, Mrs. Anton Cansler, Mrs. John Sobszak of Milwaukee and Miss Emily Mrotek at home. Eight sons also survive, being Stanley and Leo of Chicago, Alex, Thaddius, Ed and Max of this city, George of Milwaukee and Luke who is stationed at Hawaii with the United States Navy.

For the last two years Mr. Mrotek has lived in retirement. He was a member of the St. Joseph's society of the St. Mary's church.
