Georgia Ann Hammons Services Set


Georgia Ann (Davenport) Hammons, 73, of Finley, passed away on October 15, 1996, in the Pushmataha Hospital. She was born on May 10, 1923, in Finley, Oklahoma to George Edwin and Ruth (Walker) Davenport.

She was married to William Harley Hammons and had lived in this area all of her life.

Mrs. Hammons was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Hammons; her parents, a son, George Hammons and a brother, Jesse Davenport.

Survivors include one son, Harlan Bruce Hammons and his wife, Rhonda; two daughters, Linda Tims of Finley and Kathryn Hooker of Shawnee; three sisters, Lavena Caraway of Antlers; Betty Sue Manous of Irving, Texas; and Kathryn Sherred of Farmington, New Mexico. Also ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 17, 1996 at the Bruce Hammons residence in Finley. Burial will be held in the Antlers Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Mike Wood, John Tucker, Wiley Harrison, Terry D. Miller, Dewey J. Hatcher, and Jessie Moses.
