STRICKLAND WINSTON-SALEM Clara B. "Tup" Strickland July 14, 1922 - Nov. 16, 2013 Mrs. Clara B. "Tup" Strickland, age 91, of Winston-Salem, N.C. died Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Tup was born in Greensboro, N.C. on July 14, 1922, to the late James A. and Eva L. Brown. She was the wife of the late Hugh G. Strickland. Mrs. Strickland was Secretary of Hugh G. Strickland, Inc. and a member of the Enablers Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Mrs. Strickland is survived by two sons, Gary H. and Thomas S.; one step son, Ross; five grandsons, Bryan (Lori), Kevin (Kenda), David, Michael (Ashley), Scott; three great grandsons, Lewis, Seth, Jack and two great grand daughters, Kennedy and Anna- all Stricklands. Also surviving is one sister, Essie Moorhead of Mayodan and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Home, Reynolda Road. Following a private graveside service, a Memorial service to honor Tup's life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, 2:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church, Winston-Salem with Dr. David Hughes officiating.
