Funeral services were held for Mrs Dora Powell Goodwin last Fruiday afternoon at the Reservation Church, conducted by Tommy Hoaglin of the Pentecostal Church assisted by Rev Olsen of the MK Mission. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery. The services were hugely attended and floral offerings were many and beautiful, a token of respect of a large circle of friends, both Indian and white. Mrs Goodwin had been in failing health for some time, had gradually gotten worse, and was taken to Howard Hospital in Willits where she passed away. She was born in Blocksburg Jan 2, 1877 and came to Round Valley in 1900 and has since made her home here. Besides her husband, George, she is survived by 9 children; Jesse Gregory of Rhonerville, Carlos Gregory of Oregon, Robert, Pat, Henry, Mervin Goodwin, Mrs Mary Brown and Miss Shirley Goodwin, all of Covelo. All this large family, also grandchildren, many other relatives and friends will sorely miss this kind, helpful and cheerful homemaker, friend, and neighbor.
