Wolfe Island Death
Wolfe Island, April 26.--On Saturday morning the death occurred of one of Wolfe Island's most respected citizens in the person of Michael Lacey at the home of his daughter, Mrs Herbert Dawson, at which place he had been since last September. Deceased had been ailing all winter and death was not unexpected. He passed peacefully, surrounded by all his family. He was aged eighty years.
His wife predeased him about three years ago. He is survived by five daughters., Mrs P. Kane, Mrs Matthew Flynn, Wolfe Island; Mrs E. Cough, Watertown, and Mrs Otis Robertson, Cape Vincent, Daniel and John on Wolfe Island. The deceased gentleman was also a brother in-law of James McGlynn, treasurer of the Conservative Association. His funeral took place this morning to the church of the Sacred Heart and was one of the largest seen on the island.
