As a stud, Discovery was a top broodmare sire with his daughters producing some of the great race horses and sires of their day including Native Dancer, Bold Ruler, Ruffian, Bed o'Roses, and Hasty Road. Over 80 percent of today's champion race horse carry Discovery's blood including the last three triple crown winners Secretariat, Seattle Slew and Affirmed.
