Mr. Messer, the husband of Myrtle Brown Messer, also leaves three daughters, Betty Lou Potts of Decaturville, Drucilla Huson of Morgan Hill , Calif., and Wanda Sue Messer of Taylor, Mich.; a sister, Virgie Davis of Barbourville, Ky.; five half- sisters, Mable Messer and Wavll Messer, both of Louisville, Ky., Tava Bargo and Blanch Wooley, both of Corbin, Ky., and Marie Mills of Barbourville; a brother, Forster Messer of Pleasant Hill, Ohio; two half-brothers, Reed Messer of Virginia and Lundy Messer of Corbin, five grandchildren and a great- grandchild
