COLUMBIA -- Services for Miriam Higdon Beard, 84, of Columbia will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Riser and Son with the Revs. Dr. W. M. Causey and Dr. George Brian officiating. Burial will be in Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson.
Mrs. Beard died at 5:56 a.m. Saturday in Citizen's Medical Center, Columbia.
Survivors include two daughters, Freida Brian of Monroe and Faye Harris of Columbia; two sisters, Hazel Beard and Mrs. R. D. Sharpe, both of Winnsboro; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Tracy Higdon, Ray L. Sharpe, John Glenn Meredith, Monty B. Adams, Jackie C. Barrett and Gregg Wilbanks.
