Edson G. Grass Mars Hill 91. Husband of the late Vilah (Knowles) Grass, died 5-4-1997, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born in Mars Hill, 2-24-1906, the son of Daniel G. and Fern (Redstone) Grass. He attended East Ridge Union Church, where he was very active as a Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent for many years. What he enjoyed most in his life was his family, his farm and his friends. He is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Kendall and Gayle Grass of Mars Hill and Lewman and Corretta Grass of Greenville, SC., 7 grand children and 9 great great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Neva Burke of Torrington, CT., and Vira Lynch of Gardiner, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife of 63 years, who predeceased him in March, he was predeceased by 4 sisters Elsie, Ruby, Esther and Marcia. Burial Pierce cemetery
