Another Old Timer Crosses the Divide

Death, the Grim Reaper who is no respecter of person, has again invaded Phillips county and removed from his loved ones the spirit of Thomas Bernard O'Reilly of Dodson. Funeral services were conducted from the O'Reilly home in Dodson Monday and were under the auspices of Father Pettit of the Catholic church, the deceased being a devout member of that church all his life.

Thomas Bernard O'Reilly was born in Pireboudett, Province of Quebec, Canada, April 2, 1839. He was married June 13th 1867, to Mary Ann Best at Brockville, Ontario. The family came to Malta in 1895 and have ever since resided in or near this city. Surviving are the widow, four sons, three daughters, eleven grandchildren, the three sisters. The children are: Joseph John of Saskatoon, Canada; James Henry of Exeter, Percy Raymond and Thomas Bernard of Dodson; Mrs. James Fineran of Wagner, and Mrs. Daniel Nicholson and Mrs. Edgar Lee of Dodson.

Not only will the genial presence of Thomas B. O'Reilly be greatly missed by his relatives, but our citizens will greatly miss the smiling face of this gray haired old gentleman, who always had a kind word for all and was one of the best boosters Phillips county ever had.
